OUR IMPACT
Welcome to ELEVEN Australia, we’re a hair & body care brand that uses high performing ingredients found in science and nature to create simple and easy-to-use products. We are also working tirelessly both internally and with our suppliers to always reduce our environmental impact.
We’re committed to doing the best we can when it comes to reducing our impact on the environment and while we aren’t entirely there yet, we continue to improve our ways and strive to take steps towards being more environmentally responsible.
It’s important to us that all our products are globally compliant. Our products are created to the highest of standards with our chemists and regulatory teams to ensure that they are safe, high performing and in line with each country’s legislation and regulations.

SUSTAINABILITY &
OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT
OUR PACKAGING
A major focus for us at ELEVEN Australia is to continue looking at ways we can reduce our carbon footprint. Our bottles, tubs and cans are 100% recyclable, the way you recycle these will differ by region, so always best to check your local guidelines.
We choose our suppliers carefully
OUR SUPPLIERS
We also do our best to partner with suppliers who are committed to reducing their environmental impact. Where possible our suppliers make conscious efforts to:
Here are some other amazing sustainability initiatives from our partners and suppliers:
NATURAL COOLING SYSTEM
ELEVEN Australia suppliers are always sharing ways in which they too are helping to reduce their environmental impact, like one of our brush suppliers who planted grass on the roof of their factory complex. This grass specifically needs less water irrigation and greatly aids in sheltering the factory from heat. This results in needing to use less air-cooling equipment and electricity since the grass helps to lower the indoor temperatures naturally.
CRADLE TO CRADLE CERTIFIED
We’re pleased to announce that our European print supplier is one of only three Cradle to Cradle certified printing companies in the world. Cradle to Cradle is an environmental certification guaranteeing that a product does not pollute and does not consume the Earth’s resources, becoming part of the natural cycle after use.
The idea is to invent and produce products that can be used repeatedly, resulting in products that don’t generate waste and are non-toxic to humans or the environment.
CRUELTY FREE
We are proud to confirm all our products are cruelty-free and officially approved by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). We also proudly support Beauty without Bunnies.
This means that none of our products or the ingredients we use has been tested on animals. We have also ensured that all our suppliers and manufacturers provide us with the current and correct documentation to ensure that each individual ingredient in our range is sourced ethically and is not harmful to any animal in the process.
You might have noticed that we recently removed the official bunny and cruelty-free logos on our packaging. This is due to EU laws that have been put in place to ensure companies no longer use these logos on their packaging. This is because it is illegal to test on animals’ full stop in Europe (which is a good thing). As our products are sold globally, we decided to remove these symbols to ensure that our packaging is universal, but you can shop easily, knowing you’re doing no harm.
vegan must-have products
VEGAN PRODUCTS
We strive to offer as many vegan
products as possible.
At ELEVEN Australia it’s important to us that we try to reduce our environmental footprint wherever possible. Studies have shown that animal farming can contribute to up to 60% more greenhouse emissions so offering an extensive range of vegan products allows us to help reduce this impact.
PALM OIL
As a brand, we are very conscious of the environmental, economic and social impacts of using palm oil from Asia, Africa and Latin America. We choose not to use palm oil as a stand-alone ingredient in our products, however, a handful of other ingredients we use contain palm oil that has been obtained from sustainable palm farms.
For these few ingredients, we obtain an RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) Certificate from the supplier to ensure it is produced without environmental damage. This organisation certifies that the palm oil used is always sourced from sustainable palm farms.
WE WORK WITH MANUFACTURERS ALL OVER THE WORLD
OUR PRODUCT
MANUFACTURING
One of our core values at ELEVEN Australia is that we always make high performing products.
Because if it doesn’t perform then that’s no good for anyone, right?
Our chosen manufacturers all come down to where we can source the best available product & ingredients from. That’s why we work with manufacturers all over the world including Australia, Sweden, China, Korea, USA & Italy.
Shipping is also a consideration when we choose where we want to produce certain products. We want our products to always be available when you need them as much as you do! By reducing shipping times, we can also reduce our carbon footprint. We can therefore bring you the best performing products in the quickest amount of time, with the least amount of environmental impact. It’s a win-win.
Did you know…?
Freight shipping from Australia to the EU can take up to 2 ½ months or longer? We have learnt that we can dramatically close this gap by using our trusted manufacturers around the world. This also helps us to greatly reduce our carbon footprint at the same time.
You may wonder why we don’t just carry more stock? But by carrying more inventory for longer periods, we risk the products expiring sooner and that’s a big no-no for us. We want to ensure our products are always as fresh as possible for you.
Manufacturing is a tricky business and in this ever-changing world, we will continue trying to bring you only the best-performing products in the quickest amount of time with the least amount of environmental impact.
GOOD MANUFACTURING
PROCESSES
We ensure that all our manufacturers have their Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certificate to guarantee the quality and ethical production of all our products.
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an international system that ensures cosmetics are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. The GMP regulations require a quality approach to manufacturing, enabling companies to minimise or eliminate instances of contamination, mix-ups, and errors. This protects the consumer from purchasing a product that is not effective or even dangerous.
These guidelines guarantee quality practices and repeatability across the production, control, storage and shipping of our products. All elements within these production stages are vetted including people, premises, processes, products and procedures.
CHARITY
STYLE FOR LIFE
Make a change bigger than a hairstyle with ELEVEN Australia X Style for Life!
ELEVEN Australia is proud to support Hagar, an international organisation committed to the protection, recovery and reintegration of women and children who have suffered severe human rights abuses. Through protection, personal transformation, community integration, and economic empowerment, Hagar walks the whole journey of recovery.
Each year during March in line with International Women’s Day we hold our Style For Life month where we donate USD$1 from every bottle of ELEVEN Australia Miracle Hair Treatment sold worldwide at participating ELEVEN Australia salons to Hagar Australia.
Since its inception in Australia in 2013, we have raised over AUD 300,000 for Hagar through Style for Life, sponsoring countless women through their Economic Empowerment Program, to learn a skill like hairdressing. We’re proud to support this initiative globally by raising much-needed funds for women and children.

HAPPY BOXES PROJECT
We’re HAPPY to be a partner of Happy Boxes Project, an organisation that helps to empower women by providing Happy Boxes filled with self-care products like shampoo and conditioner, deodorant and soap to women and children in remote corners of Australia who don’t have access to even the most basic essentials.
Women in our own backyard are going without basic toiletries and we agree with the Happy Boxes Project that this is unacceptable. Click here to see the amazing work they do and join us by “giving a little happy”.
